Article 31 of the Immigration law 2014 stated the following:
- Temporary residence time is defined according to the visa validation duration. If the visa is valid for 15 days, the duration will be 15 days. Foreigners with a visa of ĐT, LĐ designation will be given 12 months of temporary residence duration and given a temporary residence card.
- For foreigners with visa exemption, the duration will follow international treaties, in case it wasn’t clearly defined then foreigners will be given 30 days.
- Temporary residence duration for foreigners entering a visa free economic zone near the border is 15 days.
- Temporary residence duration for foreigners entering a special administrative – economic zone is 30 days.
