It is divided into 2 types of visa:
- Tourist visa (Visa DL): Travel companies sponsor foreigners to enter the country for tourism purposes.
- Tourist E-visa: Register online for a Vietnam visa through either Vietnam E-visa official website https://E-visa.immigration.gov.vn/ or a Vietnam Visa service company.
3. DURATION OF VIETNAM TOURIST VISA
In the past, the maximum validity period of a tourist visa for Vietnam was 06 months. At the present however, foreigners intending to visit Vietnam for tourism purposes can apply for a tourist visa with a specific duration of stay:
- Tourist Visa: maximum period of 30 days.
- Tourist E-Visa: maximum period of 90 days.

6. THE PROCESSING TIME FOR VIETNAM TOURIST VISA
According to the announcement from the Vietnam Immigration Department, the processing time for Vietnam tourist visas is between 05 to 07 business days. The visa application will only be considered once the applicant has submitted all the required information, documents, and visa fees.
7. HOW MUCH DOES VIETNAM TOURIST FEE?
The fees for Vietnam tourist visa applications vary depending on the form utilized:
- E-Visa: The application fee is $25 for single entry visa and $50 for multiple entry visa.
- Visa on Arrival (VOA): required 2 fees, Online registration fee and Visa stamping fee at the airport ($25 in cash for single entry visa and $50 in cash for multiple entry visa.
